Spit cooking in the fireplace at Maison Forte de Reignac
Get ready to thrill your taste buds during your visit on Wednesdays February 12, 19 and 26 as well as Wednesday March 5, 2025.
All year round, this noble haunt invites visitors to discover this astonishing place of life in a rare olfactory and visual experience: real fires burn in the fireplaces of the kitchen and the main hall. Imagine the delicious scents emanating from dishes slowly cooked in the cauldron suspended over the crackling kitchen fire. In the Hall of Honor, the period spit works wonderfully. It offers slow and steady cooking which allows the juices of the meat to make it tender, fragrant and delicious.
Discover the preparation and cooking of meals from yesteryear in this authentic place with a very special atmosphere. The table will be decorated with provisions and food to put visitors in the mood.
No reservations required! Open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. continuously.
